WHAT IS DUTY CYCLE PROGRAMMING?
Custom adjustments made to the ECM, specific to vehicle application and use, to improve Aftertreatment and engine efficiency.
SERVICE INCLUDES:
DUTY CYCLE PROGRAMMING
A comprehensive analysis of vehicle use, looking at ratios of engine miles driven in certain gears, engine run time, idle time, and PTO time. Also considers engine run time in relation to torque and HP. This information is used to determine the most appropriate ECM adjustments needed to improve Aftertreatment and engine efficiency.
ACTIVE/INACTIVE FAULT CODE REPORTING
A detailed list of both Active and Inactive Fault Codes, including description, counts, and summary. Many scanner tools do not report “Inactive” fault codes, but these can often be the early warning indicator of potential progressive damage, and need to be addressed.
CALIBRATION UPDATES
Calibration Updates provide the latest settings to the ECM software. Operating without the latest Cal Update can lead to lost efficiency or mechanical failure. LDT checks for the latest updates and installs them when appropriate. This can be done through the dealership, however, it usually costs at least $125 plus the associated downtime.
EFFICENCY REPORTING
A general overview of the various fuel metrics (average fuel economy, average fuel use, top gear economy, gear down economy, idle fuel rate, etc…) that gives you the measurables needed to track engine and vehicle use efficiency. Report will also include any recommendations to improve efficiency, including driving tips, HP upgrade/downgrade, engine right sizing, and more.
